This looks pretty awesome. It's a portable espresso maker. I might buy for having at work. Only about $30.

Great ideas are often born out of terrible circumstances.
Here's a tweet I had favorited from Cameron Moll. I read it recently and was really taken by the truth of it. I printed it out and placed it on my wall at work. Thanks for the wisdom.

Like most fun projects I've been involved in Bigulo started off as 800 lines of broken code, that we were always told that "anyone could have written". But we did, and that's usually the difference.
Des Traynor writes about a site he and his friend built, grew, and sold and the lessons he learned in the process. Great lessons and interesting read.

Shouldn't you announce your goals, so friends can support you?
Isn't it good networking to tell people about your upcoming projects?
Doesn't the “law of attraction” mean you should state your intention, and visualize the goal as already yours?
Nope.
Tests done since 1933 show that people who talk about their intentions are less likely to make them happen.
Really great article by Derek Sivers. Take a read: Shut up! Announcing your plans makes you less motivated to accomplish them.

I spend a fair amount of time developing quotes for websites. Heck - I’m even travelling to the Netherlands to talk about my approach for quoting and planning ExpressionEngine based sites. One of the tougher aspects of quoting work is that initial feeling-out of the prospective client. Do they want steak on a hamburger budget or are they realistic about the costs involved for what they want?
Good article about one aspect of giving quotes for potential projects. Really great insight!

I did some myspace surfing tonight and found some great new (to me) music. Check it out:

This is a beautiful little piece of design from Microsoft! While Microsoft is an easy target for insults at times, generally speaking I think their peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc) are some of the very best. This piece is a mouse that folds up for easy portability. At just over $30, too, it's pretty affordable.

The Swash line of high-tech toilet seats combines the latest innovation and design to bring you a new level of luxury and hygiene. Better than a conventional toilet seat or bidet, the Swash features a heated seat and delivers a warm water wash with temperature, pressure, and pulsation adjustability.
Check this out. Awesomeness.
